Neoléa (νεολαία), Greek for “youth”.
Neoléa is a platform committed to helping support, celebrate and connect the next generation of Greek Australians to each other and to their cultural heritage. We aim to contribute to build a vibrant future that honours the legacy of our ancestors.
It serves as a space for designing and incubating new initiatives, promoting intergenerational dialogue, encouraging language retention, and forging meaningful community connections through various programs and initiatives, including cultural workshops for younger kids, participation in multicultural festivals and collaborations with Greek state and interstate organisations.
As part of Neoléa’s journey our first project is the The Syllogo Initiative.
The Syllogo Initiative is an ongoing project, in collaboration with local Greek social clubs and associations, that seeks to capture South Australia’s Greek migration history and make cultural knowledge accessible across generations.
